Here is Eddie Chang from Taiwan writing for Anny, Linda, Paying and Yiching.
First we wanna give Dave a big thank you for sharing precious_plastic to everyone. Here we wanna share our process to you.
This summer in Taipei, we are having an exhibition called “plastic lost塑膠迷路了” which using 1500 bottles to make a playground for kids. Most important thing is that four girls in the team also have build Dave’s machines (the shredding and extrusion) to not only show to local families the possibility of recycling plastic but also looking forward to further developing recycling with the community.
(I am the curator and also a founder of green design studio called HUEMON in Taiwan. )

This makes me happy! 🙂 What is your modification on the extrusion machine? Did you made it possible to inject as well or does it just have a very long shaft to the motor? Either way it looks very well made!
Ni hao ,
Congratulations for your project there. It looks really great. I’m from France and new to the community and i was just reading your project.
I don’t know if you know fablab dynamics in Taipei ? I went there last year for a show and meet all the team. If you’re not connected , you can call them from serge at smartfriendz 🙂 I’m quiet sure there’s projects to build with them 🙂
Maybe we will meet for next project , I’m about to start something here in France with Precious plastic too ( first build machines, right ? ) .
