Hi everyone..
1) Is it compulsory for the shredder motor to rotate both clockwise and anticlockwise?
2) For the type of motor, is it DC motor more suitable or AC motor? Or both type are the same and can be used for the shredder machine? Is there any difference between the two?
3) Any suggestion would be helpful

Re: 1) I would say yes. Even a paper shredder needs a ‘reverse’ for when it ‘grinds down to a hold’. The alternative would be to take it apart everytime stuff gets stuck…
1) yes, definitely
2) the shredder is a typical and continues high torque application, AC wins, see here

@pporg @donald what should be the output torque after reduction ideally for shredder?
