Cleaning Plastic

Does anyone have any ideas on how to clean the plastics on a larger scale before shredding? I am interested in ideas to clean large quantities of plastic without washing each piece individually.
Should they be soaked in a chemical? Pressure washed? Dishwasher? Maybe a natural cleaning process involving vats allowing plastics to soak in rain water?
Any suggestions are appreciated.

Hi. There are washing machines to do this as the plastics enter the washing cycle.First washed then crushed and finally dried.That’s called plastic recycling.
