Extrusion or injection

First of all thanks to the awesome community and all the guides about making the machines
I’m a BTech student from india. We are planning to create tiles from waste plastic and figure out better composition which can be added together with plastic to increase its strength.
I’m confused on choosing whether I should use extrusion machine or injection machine to melt the plastic ,
Which one should be better for making tiles.
I likes extrusion mechanism, but after seeing some videos and going through some posts its seems like injection mechanism is easy and good for making tiles since we can apply pressure directly
Is it possible to do the same with extrusion mechanism ??
You didn’t say what type and size tile you are planning. When you did the volume calculation for your tile design, how did that compare with the PP injection machine capability? It is quite limited for larger objects. There have been posts about making roof tiles or pavers from a plastic and sand mixture. They appear to use a larger, auger based machine to melt and mix. Then a press is used to form the tiles.
Hi- wondering what you ended up deciding?
Also curious, once you are done with the tiles how are you putting them on the walls/floors? what type of mixture works well with plastic?
