Net Neutrality

So I have been following your designs and ideas on the site, and you tube, and one big concern on the market right now is net neutrality. Although not a provider, will this cause any problems with development or at least finding providers who will join?
I’m in favour of Net Neutrality (and I hope Phonebloks will be too) – but I can’t really see how it would affect device manufacturers…
Marketing schemes, or the fact that certain brands are still produced only for specific providers. Thus, certain providers will not allow other phones from competition. It was just recent in terms of technology and business that Apple phones now can work with other data plans other than AT&T. I’m not saying that the net neutrality will be problematic. Simply a thought i wanted to bring up.
Well it’s the nature of propritary commerce to perpetuate differences in order to profit. Whether or not Phonbloks itself will be proprietary I don’t know (once Dave Hakkens has a good design for the base he certainly needs to copyright it somehow (Creative Commons?)), but Phonebloks will no doubt seek to provide solutions in as many marketplaces as there is demand, whilst not infringing patents and agreements.
