If you haven’t watched the video, do that first.

So we wanted to help out reducing the plastic straw. Today. Not waiting for politicians or governments to take action but just by the power of people. So we made a little sticker that can help to change our habits. A friendly one that bar owners can appreciate (because they can buy less straws)
Made by the Lieke. aka Liekeland. Everything she draws looks just..beautiful. I’d highly recommend to check out her website, best enjoyed with a cup of tea.
OK back to it. You can find 3 different stickers in this download kit.
1: Menu Stickers. Small to stick on the drink section on a menu
2: Counter Stickers. Slightly bigger and contain some extra information, perfect to stick on the bar or counter
3: Street sticker. Spread the word on the streets. Simple but effective! (we occasionally sell a few in our bazar)
Dont forget to add #skipthestraw if you post about it!
Dave
Is there a font we can use to translate the text ? Some villagers around the world might not understand english.
@david-gdr the main text is illustrated, no font used. (find a font thats similar or illustrate?) the written text is in Brandon Text.
Pasta straw are quite cool as an alternative check this out in bristol http://www.bbc.com/news/av/uk-england-bristol-44008960/pasta-straws-replace-plastic-at-bristol-restaurant
You can also print the stickers on printer paper, cut them out and keep a glue stick in your purse to stick them on!
Would be nice to have them on different languages, here in Spain english is not so popular :=)
Breaking News: European Union proposes ban on single-use plastic stuff including: straws, cotton buds, cutlery, balloon sticks and drink stirrers !
I really like this idea of a campaign. Many restaurants in my area (PEI, Canada) have started skipping the straws unless you ask for one, but fast food places are still pounding out a straw or two with every order. The reason I like this better than an outright ban on plastic straws is that there is sometimes a need for plastic straws – some persons with disabilities rely on them.

Well, do they really need to be made of plastic in that case?
Hi. I am trying to download the download kit on my phone but it is not downloading …. Please help…
Hello community,
For those who could not follow the news in Brazil, more specifically in Rio de Janeiro, I have the pleasure to announce that Rio has become the first Brazilian city to banish plastic straws in coffee shops, kiosks, bars and restaurants. Establishments that fail to comply are subject to a fine.
I understand that banning it is not the best solution, but I consider it as an important step in raising awareness about the theme.
Being such a recent topic with the video Skip the straws, and seeing that there was no translation into Portuguese (BR), we [from Precious Plastic Rio] created the caption (pending approval by @jegor-m and @davehakkens).

We also translated the stickers that have already been printed and are ready to be spread around (although, we placed just 42 stickers on an A4 sheet without losing the resolution). Tks Lieke and Dave for creating it.

Hello, friends of the planet! I have in this link the Spanish version of the stickers and the printing models. If you have questions, just write me. (Greetings to Dave :))

Could you share some experiences or any tips to make the owners accept these stickers happily? I really love the idea and want to spread the stickers in my community.
Thank you!
Hi quanbui, just talk to them. 🙂 In my experience most coffee shop/bar/restaurant owners don’t want to use straws either (just think about the costs for a second!).
I am going to laser engrave the design on sustainable wood. I cant stick them to things but I can hand them out at least and avoid any extra plastic.
