Transparent/Clear Plastic

I am really curious to know whether it is possible to create a final recycled plastic product that is mostly transparent/clear. If anybody knows more information, I would be really grateful if they could share it 🙂
It’s very hard to do it. Usually virgin resin is transparent. After processing many times, or using additives, it will change to opaque.
I called some recycling companies about this – you need very pure material, any impurities will cause the plastic to cloud. It is possible but you need really clean stuff. If you use offcuts from industry and recycle that that could be possible.

I did some tests with cd-box covers. I am testing now with injection and clear materials as well.
