Good afternoon,
My local makerspace (Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada) is building the shredder as a community project. Getting metric material is a challenge, so we were just wondering if anyone had any experience using imperial (3/16" for the blades and larger stationary blades and 1/4" for the circular spacers and smaller stationary blades). After looking at the model in metric, there is 0.5mm (approx 0.020") clearance on either side of the blades. If we use the imperial material above, the clearance will be approx 0.030". It is only a 0.010" difference, but we just wanted to make sure we wouldn't have any significant issues.
Thank you for the reply.
