4k Display.

A display really isn’t good enough if it’s basic. By basic I mean like a normal 1080p display. A 4k display would give more detail allow you to see clearly and you won’t miss a detail. It would have a 4096 x 2160 resolution. Compare it to the 1920 x 1080 resolution. Of course, 1920 x 1080 is nothing.

urmm.. 4k display is good though but wont it eats up the battery life and perhaps create extra heat on the phone and circuits? also, i have done some research about this kind of display. Sony did made a phone with 4k display but the price scared the out of me xD.

I think firstly that now people understand that 4K display is just simple marketing tool. They maybe like it and phone attracts them, but then they see the price and say No for the phone. Full HD display is more then enough, more than enough because: 1. still it is good for marketing, 2. still colors, sharpness and display is awesome, 3. price to manufacture such display is lower, so for the end user prices are more friendly too.

4K is indeed a marketing gimmic, even on tablet its barely acceptable.

You wont even need a 4k display for A phone.2k is great for a phone though 2k is also great for a tv.

for my personal taste, push the limit of the 2k on a mobile and its going to be the best bet.

Of course, 1920 x 1080 is nothing. firstly, 1080p on a phone is retina display, retina meaning you cannot actually see the pixels maybe unless you bring your eyes right upto the screen or in other words, 1080p isnt basic, its blu-ray definition and on a phone its very graphical i can tell you that for sure because my ipod touch has a 720p resolution yet its still retina.I am not saying its not a good idea, i still think that a 4k resolution on a phone would be amazing but it would depend on how big the screen is.might i mention that theres no way your wifi box would load a 4k video onto your phone without buffering every 5 seconds

The best thing would be to compare them side by side… a real life test, not ppi test. 🙂

I think with the actual tecnology a 2k display could be enough and would have a good realation with the battery than a 4k display. On the future you can just buy a new “4k Display” and no need to change the phone… that´s whats Phoneblock it´s about…
