Im going to work on a app to calculate various things required for shredder design. These are for preliminary thoughts that are then confirmed using FEA. These will just be rule of thumb readings for a ball park figure using standard engineering equations. Please request more features if you want.

Here is the app live on my website check it out.
this is version 1. it is built using construct 3.
let me go over some of the things on there because in version 1 there are no labels.
this setup calculates hp, gear ratio, and kg/min production rate(currently broken!!!)
What you need to enter:
Your radius of your blades, thickness of blades all in meters
then you need the size of the cross section of the plastic that you are cutting so this is if you are taking a slice out of the plastic with scissors what is the cross
section that you would see m(wide) x m(tall) = m^2
also you need rpm in which is into the gear box
and rpm out which is into the shredder itself

By the way above pictures is for cutting steel not plastic that is why it is 65 hp.
Objectives for Version 1:
Minimal Labels
All Variables and prompts for knowns and Unkowns added.
Full calculation of given unkowns
glitches and bugs ironed out
hosted on website

Then Version 2:
more onscreen help/hint items. basically more polish.

Version 3:
Basic stress analysis to check for failure of parts as up to version 2 is just “compliance” meaning assuming nothings fails. Version 3 will check for failure.

Here is what i have after about a half hour into working onto it.
calculator takes in:
Material Cross Section(m^2)
Material SHear Stress in MPA
Output RPM (out of gear reduction)
and Cutter radius in meters
from those it calculates Horsepower Required (it also calculates watts it just not show it)
Let me know what you think. i will host it app my site when i am sure that the answers can be relied on.
bellow are the pictures. Also by the way i checked the answer it is correct.

Preliminary features that i want the app to have calculate:
input rpm
output rpm
gear ratio
motor efficiency
gearbox efficiency
plastic production rate
please recommend some others that i have not thought of yet.
