Bring Precious Plastic To Westchester New York

Hello, I am in the Westchester NY area looking to start a workshop. So far I have not built any machines and am working with a toaster, a not quite hacked paper shredder, and determination. I am looking for people in the NY area who are interested in collaborating and hopefully have some welding experience.

How are you doing with the paper shredder? I was thinking about trying some sort of heavy duty office shredder (the sort that claims it can shred credit cards) with a screen to filter the particulate size as in the instructional videos. (I’m in Brooklyn)
I cut open the top of a staples Mailmate paper/credit card/CD shredder to find that there was another support in the way that might be critical to the system. My plan is to shred plastic in it once i get it properly hacked. (i’m near Tarrytown)
