CAD file issues

27/02/2017 at 06:10

Hi guys,

I’ve downloaded the Precious-Plastics-Kit-Master and am going through the CAD files. I managed to get these open previously (in version 1.0 I think) but I can’t get them working now.

I’m using a high end CAD package (microstation) which can open DWGs and a whole bunch of other formats but the ones provided won’t work in it.

Also, are there 3D CAD models available anywhere? Even in Sketchup would be great.

Thanks

ilija

I use Fusion 360 Pro

I have had to redraw some of the laser files for cutting as the ratio was 1:10 instead of a 1:1 drawing.

also some of the curves on the parts had too many stop starts in them so I had to redraw using an arc tool.

Would it be possible to make these corrected files available and maybe forward them to be updated on the site and so the next downloads will be with the correct file? Submit to [email protected]
Thanks

Hi guys, I’m having some problems to install the CAD in the computer that i’m using now. The system is a Mac OS X 10.6.8
Do u know if I can download another program to open it? or where can I get a version for the Mac that works?
I’ve never used a Mac before but its the computer that we have on the place that we decided to build the machine.

Hello,

I am also facing a couple of problems with the files while looking for a supplier in Asia:

– some suppliers need older CAD file versions (my brother created files that
– the drawings do not seem to be in 1:1 dimension (at least to one supplier) and I do not have any specifications of how long/wide/deep each part must be

Can someone help me with this?
I’ve already shared the file versions that my brother created, so they should be in 2000er CAD file format and correct (I cannot verify).

Any help is appreciated.
