Cleaning the precious plastics marking coins

14/03/2018 at 09:58

After some use, the “coins” which are used for marking the type of plastic the product is made of, they get kind of dirty, i found a great way to clean them is with some of my two favourite things: Fire and acid.
if you heat the coin up with a blow torch or similar, then dump it into decalcifier (used for cleaning the calcium off coffee machine or similar) it works like a charm!

@dbougas it should work fine, but vinegar has a fairly strong acetic acid smell. not that it doesn’t work, but decalcifier is pretty cheap which is why i use that

White vinegar will do also the job
