Compression: using weights, not jack and plate

22/02/2017 at 12:42

Hey all,

I’ve almost finished the compression and was wondering what people think of using weights placed on top of a mould, instead of using the car jack to compress.
This would primarily mean an easier machine build, and also perhaps less heat lost to the outside because all sides of the oven could be fully insulated.

Also, has anyone found that it is possible to stack several moulds on top of each other in the oven?

Just some thoughts before I spend more time finishing the compression!

Thanks for your help!
