Different materials for moulds

Hi guys, I am in the process of starting a precious plastic workspace in India, I was wondering what materials you guys use to create your moulds. In some video, I saw that dave said he was using fabric moulds to create his products. It would be superb if you guys could help with by suggesting the different materials other than MS, aluminium or stainless steel, that you guys used to make moulds for testings and for your final moulds.

Some PP workshops use acrylic plastic for moulds for testing / production. We have made a mould ourselves, the results shown here (at the end of the page)
@pradyumnakrao acrylic would be the best alternative if you want to exclude MS and aluminium
Many different materials can be used to make molds. It really depends on the complexity of the part to be made, quantity of parts required and the final part finish required. Aluminum, steel, copper, brass are all good traditional materials. Other alternative materials include: wood, epoxy, some plastics, urethanes, and even 3D printed molds can all produce molds of reasonable quality and strength for certain quantities of parts.
@jegor-m Hi thank you so much your thread documenting the whole processs is wonderful. thanks for sharing with the community will surely look at it when I start making products. Yes I saw some moulds out of acrylic they seem perfect for testing will try and see how they work for full production and regular use. Thanks for your input 🙂
@sharma-sagar Thank you for your inputs will update how acrylic moulds work as proper moulds.
@sheffieldcompany will look into wood, epoxy and some plastics for moulds as well. Copper and brass are a little too expensive here for us to try and use as moulds. But thank you for taking the time off to help.
Have any of you guys used fabric moulds to create products, or have any information on what types of fabrics are used and other related information would be great.
