Details of the earthquake zone:
Hi everyone, my name is Alfonso Arzube.
As you know there was an 7.8-magnitude Earthquake in Ecuador, my country, the official death jumps at leats 480 people with more than 4000 injuries and many others missing. I was a volunteer in some affected locations and I can say that there are many more deaths than those reported. the smell is overwhelming and cemeteries are full. There are entire villages that no longer exist, I count the dead in more than a thousand.
The aid for the moment is not being well targeted, there are a lot off people trying to help and only reach the same locations, leaving others without help, because access is difficult. There is lot of help at the moment but we know that will not be forever.
The biggest problem now is the lack of water, medicines and shelter. The government is handling the issue of drugs, there are not resources to the problem of shelter and we know that the water issue will be delayed a bit longer plus the water that has come for tankers and donations will end very soon.
Despite of not having water, the advantage that the affected areas have, are rivers and other places with water to use. For this reason we want to handle the problem of drinking water through filters LifeStraw. That is why we ask for your help to get these LifeStraw Water Filters, which will ensure the lives of those affected and their families.
And we propose to raise funds to build shelters for people affected who can serve during the time it will take to rebuild their lives.
Delivery is coordinated with the relevant authorities such as the Ministry of economic and social including so, the secretariat of Water, army and vice presidency of the republic.
We look forward to touch his heart and get help, that can serve during the time that these people suffer trying to rebuild their lives and lots everything.
I can not describe how much you are going to help
“In all things I was an example to you of how, in your lives, you are to give help to the feeble, and keep in memory the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, There is a greater blessing in giving than in getting.” (Acts 20:35)
