Friction Stir Welding of Plastic Sheets

03/12/2018 at 18:25

For the attachment of the new V4 sheets, try using a drill press/other machine filled with a cylender of the same plastic in the chuck.  Go along the line in between the sheets with the drill pressed into the material.  Goal is to mix the parts together.  It is used with metals in aerospace and I have seen it done small scale on 3D Printing
