Greetings from South Africa

05/08/2019 at 10:24

Just joined this awesome community and want to contribute to clean our unemployed country.

Just want to know: Can we use petrol dissolved Styrofoam to make building blocks to create houses for underprivileged people? Will they harden and what is the fire danger?
Thanks for comments.

Welcome @enegue!

Nice idea about the bricks… but I remember hearing about a napalm-like substance that would burn for hours; It was made by slowly feeding PS into a bottle of petrol.. So with regards to the fire retardance of your bricks? Maybe there’s another path 🙂
