HDPE vs PP (and vs all the other types :) )

I’m trying to separate my plastic collection by type.
The ones that dont have a mark on them make it kind of difficult.
Bottle caps are HDPE most of the time but sometimes they have a PP marking on them.
I dont see any difference between them. Anyone got some tips of separating plastics?
The floating technique does not make it possible to separate HDPE and PP i think.

Maybe someone has a chart on common plastic products and their type?

Iff not ill try making one as i keep searching but it will take some time! 🙂

would this help?

Polypropylene (PP), poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET), polystyrene (PS), low-density polyethylene (LDPE), high-density polyethylene (HDPE), polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE).
A procedure to separate them on the basis of their density is demonstrated. Six aqueous solutions (of salts or alcohols) of decreasing density are layered in a test tube and small samples of plastic are dropped in. They settle at different heights, according to their density.
