Hi,
I have to share one of my try…
I am sure that @armbouhali will be happy
😀
As my last tries:
Pp
Silicon mould
Oven 40min at approx. 165deg
@stampro01
Could you imagine cnc Greek alphabet?
SECOND
find the correct mould
Silicon mould bought on a lie press for 13,65 euros with transport cost included at the time of buy… Now cheaper.
FOURTH
Quantity to use
I weigh my previous alphabet to know approximately how much PP I will use.
FIFTH
Fill the mould…
Too big for my actual oven… I cut it in 2. In addition I destroy one part by overheat (triing to clean it)
@douglas, it looks nice, good explanation too. I’ve just one question, did you put aluminumfoil on both molds before they went into the oven?
Such a good idea, so easy and opens so many possibilities 🙂
How easy was it to remove the pieces from the moulds?
Hi
@susanne0570 yes a alufoli because my oven is not so clean… And with the temperature some fat oil/duck fat leak… 🤤
@sharma-sagar the surface is not so bad… I am not satisfied of all of the letters. Some with the bubbles… Some others like the ‘l’ or ‘z’ or ‘n’ were not so aligned.
But sufficient for my daughters to start learning…
@katharinaelleke 2 molds so 2 situations
The kiwi burned one a’k : little bit sticky on some eckig letters (complex letter how to say in English?) but mold safe. I have more sticky things with others tries with this kiwi mold and with impact on its health.
The l’a mold was really easy and not sticky at all.
I didn’t use any spray or Vaseline.
In my future ‘things’ I am using a silicon spray… Not sufficiently used for a correct feedback for the moment…
I am very impressed how the downward surface has a smooth finish using a silicon mould :).If you find a way to pressurize and cool the mold quickly. you may get way more better results.
Silicon is not designed to work with these plastics at first place, but it’s a viable option if it works under specific conditions.
Keep up the good work 🙂
Ha ! enfin ton retour !
😋
–To pressurize… Seems not possible for my actual silicon mould.
–To cool down quickly… Why not… but what will be the advantage? Less deformation?
The smooth finishing is a thing easy to have when the bubbles are avoid 😎
Other disadvantage of silicon mould is its life time… You could not do a serie production. The temperature destroy them little by little…
I will publish other tries soon.
