Machines built in Adelaide, South Australia

24/10/2018 at 09:45

We are so close to start building a full suite of PP based machines in the Adelaide hills, which I am very excited about. Fingers crossed it all goes ahead.
I am building these for a client (I make various specialty machines for other uses) but will be adding some on for myself to get involved in this.

I have about everything ready to source, but just on the off chance there is somebody wanting something for their own setup (laser cut set, or the V2 extruder screw, etc) now is the time to let me know.
Shipping Aus wide is no issue, and not a huge expense.

I hope that your builds are or have gone well! I am also in Adelaide and was wondering where you are sourcing the barrel for the injection machine as I am having trouble finding a seamless pipe? Do you know where I can find one in Adelaide area? Thanks šŸ™‚

We haven’t got the go ahead yet for the builds, there was a big delay around the end of the year, but still in talks with the client.
I haven’t sourced the barrel material yet, I am tempted to order the barrel with the screw (as machined in China unfortunately) rather than using SH40 pipe mostly to ensure better tolerance and lifespan.

If you wanted to contact me by email ([email protected]) I can keep you in the loop when I find a solution.

I am sourcing bits and pieces in Adelaide also. Did you go ahead with the complete set of builds @firepants? I sent you an email about the laser cut shredder.

Hey @betterofflost, any luck on finding the seamless pipe in Adelaide?

Hi @betterofflost @sensibill @firepants

im based in mount Gambier. Good to know a few others in SA building these machines. Iā€™m a few years in an just finishing up one of the first sheet presses in Aus. Keen to switch on. Flick me an email on [email protected]. Iā€™m keen to chat and form a bit of a hub! @sensibill Iā€™d love some help with electronics and including an Arduino/Pi set up to allow for a display for my press. I heard you were the person to connect with!
