Plastic Ecobricks

20/10/2019 at 05:50

From last two months i have been searching for a proper way to create a ecobrick which has properties which can overcome our conventional clay brick i.e strength, durability, cost etc. As a civil engineer my first priority to make something new is, it should be safe, like bricks should be of good compressive strength. To make a brick we can cut it down in pieces and melt it in a microwave and the liquid plastic can be used as brick after it cools down. But melting PET bottles would emits harmful gases, so if somebody can tell me anything about how we can reduce the emission of gases that would be much help. Applying chemical absorbers which can absorb harmful gases will increase the cost of bricks.
