Plastic on a landfill
I’ve visited many landfills before, it are interesting places. A good reflection on the stuff we throw away that doesn’t have enough value to be recycled. Mostly packaging and disposable daily used products. You find very little metal and glass on these places though. Mostly dominated by plastic, all shapes and sorts of it. This particular landfill also contained a lot of textile because of the massive textile industry. The downside is that these places are super messy and smell horrible. It’s a lot of trash and liquids steaming in the sun. For this reasons it will probably just be burned if they ever decide they need the space. To bad, if this stuff was separated it would be A LOT of decent material to work with
Some of the waste from the textile industry.
The landfill is only a few years old but already a pretty prominent thing in the landscape. Rice farmers live and work around this place. Some of the locals changed their job to waste pickers and try to find valuable materials in this mountain
Such a sad view 🙁
