Hi Craig,

I will whip up a drawing and mold details. Perhaps others can chime in once posted and we can dial in the design.

Curious what sort of voltage these cells will produce?

Thanks
Tim

Hi Tim 🙂

Thanks for this.

The Battery is getting 1.85V 3A with 10K cycles at this time. Yet we are looking to get more with bigger batteries in the future. We want to create a battery for Charging cell phones first.

Cheers,
Craig

Zinc Bromide?

helper

Yes that is Correct Zinc Bromide Batteries. I have a way to create on a small scale and once we get set up, can mass produce, and open it up for others to Create 🙂

Hi Tim, Great to get this from you. TY

1. There is no bottom, Just sides walls frames (HDPE sheets will form the top/bottom walls)
2. Corners will have a Rad. 1mm? or cutting tool dia.
3. I forgot to mention the Liquid fill hole. On 1 side of the 8cm sides, need a 2mm hole in the center or 4CM from the edge.

The Drawing can show the hole. Yet when making the mould, maybe easier to drill the hole out as to creating a Mould??

Thanks and looking forward to building 🙂
This could also be printed with  3D printer HDPE Filament.

Cheers,
Craig 🙂

Tim, we just need the 1MM Rad on the outside Corners and to looks like all we need for the design.

Great job, TY 🙂

I’m thinking that we can mould into individual uint,  or several.

Yet maybe able to press in a continue tube and cut to 1cm Wide??

Cheers,
Craig

No problem, i can make that change easily.

Is the 1mm rad critical?

The current rad is based on the tooling i use to create to mold.

I am curious how this will be used to create a battery.

Thanks,
Tim

Hi Tim,

Not critical 1mm best No.
Less chipping and ease of release from the mould.

The HPDE component is the Frame of the Battery.
Several layers of Graphfoil and Carbon Black sheets, are heat sealed to form the Sidewall.
The hole is the fill hole for  Zinc Bromide.
The hole gets sealed and then changed the battery.

Build many, create battery banks and be off-grid. Or for Emergency Power

Cheers, Craig

PS next Moulds, EV scooter/car Full 1 piece Frame, with GHDPE and Drive Wheel Hubs.

Craig,

where would the terminals be located? Each sidewall?

Interesting idea, have you created one before?

Thanks,
Tim

There are no terminals as such. It depends on the uses and configuration. The Sidewalls 9Graphfoil become the terminals. Yet we will have to run two wires to connect to equipment.

I have not created this type of battery before. I need to create the parts first. So I figure that I start with creating the Battery frame. Then I can order the materials to build the batteries.

I will make videos and post the Build 🙂

Hello All, Just seeing if there is someone that wants to continue this project. Still looking to get design and then a mould, create and them get manufactured.  It’s a great project if you are looking to build batteries for off-grid. We had a good start, yet been stopped for a few weeks now.

Cheers,
Craig

PS I have order supplies to make batteries and to make Heating walls 🙂

Hi  16pxdesign thanks for your message. I was waiting to get the final design from timdetlor yet nothing for a while now?? I have been working with the Graphene and creating a heat wall with Graphene Paint.

I could draft up the simple drawing, yet wanted to get others that have passion for doing such. It’s such a simple drawing I figured I have it in 1-2 days. Then move forward to get a mould created and then we could be making Batteries.

Yet as you see we are still looking to get others looking, sharing and working on this.

Some vids on the Heat Paint.

Did you ever hear about Infrared Heating Film, its interesting topic by the way. It seems to me that such a panel with graphene will not reflect the heat of the room. Have you done any tests?

helper
12/03/2020 at 13:45

Yes, I do know about heating films. They are great and need more of them for in-floor heating foe sure. You may want to do more research, about Heat transfer within a room via Convection https://www.simply.science/images/content/physics/thermal_physics/heat_transfer/Concept_map/Convection.html From my research, one sheet of 4’x9′ drywall will heat a 20’x30’x9′ room and uses less power than 0.8kw.
Yes, I’m doing testing. You did not see this in the videos I posted above?

Hello, I am really interested in this project.
I am not an expert like you in this area,
but is it possible to combine with generators like small solar power so that we don’t waste energy?
Interested in how you can use this to tackle waste problem. Can be plastic, energy, single-use batteries or things I don’t even know. Also, this might help Project Kamp’s energy problem. Project Kamp is another project by Dave Hakkens. I think this site can explain better than me: https://projectkamp.com/
About the electricity problem in project Kamp, some people are planning to use gas…I want to avoid that if possible. Here is the forum about it: http://onearmy.world/community/forums/topic/energy-how-to-survive-in-winter/
I hope this helped you in some way,

Thanks,

Hi Ryoma, Your English is good J I’m not an expert as such. Just a person that is passionate about this. Been studying it for 4-5 years now and see GREAT things in this new Industry. Yes we can build Graphene supercapacitors for storing power from Solar or any power generation source. Even get power from the main grid to power up the batteries and run your home, office of the battery bank. Thus saving greatly power usage from the main grid.

We need to get off burning things for our power requirements. Yet there are some things like methane from Bio gas is ok, to a degree, yet should be limited.  If you like to learn more about Graphene, follow Dr. Robert Murray Smith https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC4AkVj-qnJxNtKuz3rkq16A

Hello @craigglewis,
I just found an interesting machine from Japan. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Vc80_ZdFoQ&t=8s
It works like this:
Ping pong ball falls down from the top, spinning a generator and dropping into water, and float to the top. I don’t know how they separate water and air, but it is an interesting project. It already got a patent in Japan. http://www.gb-urawa.com/contents/category/eco/ this is a website of that company…in Japanese
However, this is not a perpetual motion machine because it needs a little water to keep moving.

Thanks,
Ryoma
I also have followed Dr.Robert Murray Smith. I am still digging on it.

Look like you have a Kinetic energy system that uses buoyancy to push water around. Not new https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query = Kentic + power Many system designs out now. Yet can be improved on.with a Trompe design https://www.motherearthnews.com/renewable-energy/hydro-power-zmaz77jazbon

A relaxing(in my opinion) video with orange and sparkling water. But SOMETHING related to this forum:
1: Orange seeds sink because it is just heavier than water
2: Seeds and gas stick together
3: Seeds float
ENERGY ( 99% for relaxing, 1% for electricity???) from soda and orange 😀
Here is the video: I can’t upload it here because it is too BIG.

Well, you have the mind on an engineer it seems 😉  This is the best system set up for Kinetic Energy Generation. 30′ tank, pipe, tube, etc. you have a conveyor system inside of the tank. On the conveyor, there are airbags, that are open in the bottom to all Gas to enter from the of water at the bottom of the tank.
This Gas is H and O2, as with Boyle’s law gas pressure and volume. The gas will rise and double in volume. This will raise the airbags on the conveyor, thus pulling the system up. On top of the tank is a Generator that will convert the lift energy to rotational Energy to turn the Generator

Yet the Gas that was created and use to lift the conveyor system, will now be dump/released and can be collected and burned in a Gas Turbine to generate energy.

The system can be started with an air compressor. Air will lift, turn the top generator, Electrical power can they be feed to the electrolysis system to continue making the Lifting gases.

Then the gases can be burned to create additions power.

Actually a small wind turbine on top of the tank can replace the Air compressor. The gases generated will be plenty. If or when this system is used on offshore wind turbine structures the Gases can be stored underwater in Flesbags attached to the seafloor. It a way to store energy form Wind 😉

So now you have a power generation system that can provide 2-4 ways to create energy. It all pretty simple. Yet maybe too simple, this is why, it’s not on every home. Gov will have no Income from the People using Power 😉

In time maybe I will build a unit for proving the method. Or you can 😉
Cheers
Craig

My current thought:
If we can make the air circulate is it possible to not add ANY air except at the beginning? Just drawing some stuff, I just like doing this. 😀

Thanks,
Ryoma

Yes, you just need a way to move air. It can be accomplished in many ways, for the requirements, skills, and funds.   It can be air to move up. or use water to bring down. You have the idea. Now build a model and then test it out 🙂
