Hi guys, I’m looking on to building an extruder for my workshop here in Kenya(Kisumu). My main focus is on producing fencing posts, most of which will be 4″ in diameter. I’m not a machine builder, so I’m having some challenges here; can a 1″ diameter screw work properly in extruding material that big? and, what’s the minimum motor size that I should use? My place doesn’t have a 3phase power connection, and I’m on a budget.
