recycling these sea plastics
hey folks! I’m fredy hailing from Indonesia.
Anyway, I have tons of scuba divers buddies who’s literally pissed off because every time they did a clean up projects, the collected plastic wastes are being thrown back to landfills and somehow I believed they’re back into the ocean.
Anyway most of the plastic wastes are plastic groceries bags, plastic cups, plastic bottles and the Indonesian favourites indomie (instant noodle) wrappers.
I know what to do with plastic cups and plastic bottles, but I have no idea what to do with the wrappers and plastic labels.
I was thinking about heating them up say 80 degrees Celcius , mixes them with sands and turns them into bricks or roof tiles.
What do you guys think?
Some experiments on dealing with wrappers here: https://davehakkens.nl/community/forums/topic/soft-plastic-recycling-research-and-feasibility/
