ReMake Plastics – Recycling XL Robotic 3D Printer

13/01/2019 at 15:07

Hi all!

Let us introduce to you: ReMake Plastics – Recycling with an XL Robotic 3D Printer.

ReMake Plastics aims to process recycled plastic waste into new products through an XL 3D Robotic Printer. The project is funded by the Municipality of Amersfoort and consists of a consortium with expertise on Robotica, Extrusion, Automation, Construction and Materials. Together, we believe 3D-printing technology is a key element in optimizing and closing the plastic cycle.

Inspired by the precious plastics movement, this project is going to be developed open-source as well. With the preparation phase approaching the end; the extruder is being upgraded and the coding of the XL robotic arm is set. This seems the perfect moment to open up the project and invite you all to learn, contribute and most of all accelerate the plastic movement!

This post was just to say Hi!

More will follow 😊
