Reusing Flip flop pads

16/03/2017 at 05:47

I recently had a pair of $1 flip flops break on me. The straps are ruined beyond repair but the pads are fine.
You guys are the only Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle forum I know and I wanted to know if you have any good uses for them. Thanks in advance.

I guess you could use them to cut out dampeners to reduce vibration/sounds from machines, like under the feet of a washing machine.

Floaters for fishing lines or keys(when at shore/in boat) could be other uses.

If you had many, you could make them into an hiking mattress or cushions for outdoor use.

check out these guys:

the way they recycle the flip flops could probably be used for more applications than just decoration. get creative 🙂

I’ve seen them used here in Costa Rica as a traction top for surfboards.sliced, diced and contact cement. Very cool!
