school of fish -made with disposed plastic bags

This installation was made for India Environment festival where the theme was ocean waste – each fish module was made with a plastic bag like a stuffed toy – stitched like fabric and stuffed with more plastic bags. keeping them all untangled was the biggest challenge.

awesome installation. This speaks to everyone of us who litter plastic around in the open space . And do not throw it to the trash bins. Thank you for the wonderful Art , A humble request to everyone , please put your plastic trash into the dry trash bins.
Can not help but wonder what will become of those fish when the installation comes to an end. I might imagine offering them (whether individually or in bundles) for sale (as donations) to some environmental/ecological fund-raising effort.
A nice initiative which might inspire others to not to throw the trash in waters.

we gave away some fishes as souvenirs and gave the rest back to the recycling plant we procured all plastic from 🙂
