SPREAD IT AROUND

02/02/2017 at 10:07

Hello People,

Help us spread the project to everyone on the of the planet, from the talented designer to the hidden philanthropist. We can never reach them all with our small team. There are a few simple actions we could all take to make sure the new campaign page reaches as many people as possible.

1. The usual thing. Tweet, share on facebook, post on instagram, email the campaign around or talk to your friends about it.
2. The extra mile. Contact your favourite media outlet, both international and local, to let them know about the campaign. You can reach out your favorite magazines, blogs, newspaper, tv, journalists, bloggers or celebrities and ask them to talk about it. Twitter is usually the preferred option for this but also email or standard contact form could work.

Generally, make sure to use the hashtag and link to the campaign
#PreciousPlastic🍌🍌🍌
https://next.preciousplastic.com/

Here you can find the Contact List

Hi guys!

@davehakkens you are an amazing and inspiring guy, you are not the hero whom Earth deserves but whom Earth needs

I have some idea of spreading the idea and the concept, the possible way is the divide and conquer method. We have to shot the specific target audience with the most effective bullet (silver bullets for werewolfs for example).

We should tell and engage:
– as many local scouts group as we can, about the possible pozitive effects on the environment of this projekt and engage them to promote and make some machines.
– as many Universities where they teach mechanics, mechanis and design professors, teachers, student as we can to engage and encourage them to build and improve the machines for fun, for brain sharpening for learning challenge and of course for better blueprints
– as many green organization as we can to promote and spread this idea for a better world and possible solution to save the MothertEarth
– as many design student to create new product designs, tools to open new possible ways to give to other’s waste a second chance and a new opportunity
– as many 3D printing facilities as we can to imform them about a new way to produce cheap resource for specific printing applications
– more and more renewable energie companies to pick up this machines to their spektrum
– Elon Musk about this projekt and ask him for his help for a better world
– Jeff Bezos about this projekt and ask him for his help for a better world
– more and more Universities where students are learning to write computer programs. We to ask them for help to develep the software side of this vision, simply because it’s a great thing and a technical challenge. -> @davehakkens you have to create a lot of issues to feed these beasts.

Sorry where i live is a bit late to stay up and work for this time. I’d come up wit these idead about 10 minutes, if you think you can give this PR plan a green lamp, i can work on it with the help of the commmunitie of course.

Long story short, please give me @davehakkens a green lamp, and i will begin to spread this vision to the world.

– a trustworth soldier is waiting for your command Sir PP Dave –

I sent Facebook messages to a few conservation groups, like Take 3 For the Sea, Australian Conservation Foundation and The Sierra Club. They have smaller followings but are very passionate, and are more likely to share in my opinion.

I sent “feedback” to The Guardian and Times, fingers crossed they share too!

Nice!

So we get the vision from @davehakkens, i had written the PR strategy for the vision, and now we have to work out the tactical steps.

My idea is to keep the PP campaign organized and oiled is simple:

Step 0:

In the next to days i’m going to make two google forms:

– Mark A to collect contact info to the targeted audiences, groups and organizations (FB,email, blog etc)
– Mark B to collect specific target audiences

and i will share the answer collecting file with the people, whom owns @davehakkens or @mattia-io thrust.

Step 1:

We ask the PP community to collect contact info and target groups.

Step 2:

The thrusted people will build the bridges and engage the people, via FB,email, blog with the specific information “bullet” as i’d mentioned earlier.

Step 3:

Repeat Step 1 and Step 2 until Dave says stop.

Step 4:

???

Step 5:

Profit!!!4!!!
We cleaned Earth.

What do you think?

I have made time for today night to make the forms. @davehakkens,@mattia-io can you send me your (and your trusted people) email address in a private message? With that i can allow you private access. I don’t want to show nor your nor mine to the public eye, because resons 😉

And i think we don’t have stop with the spefic group with the specific bullet tactic, we can add up to the PR campaign another push with a trick of abstraction. The idea is simple, we should ask for help the Internet’s age new media moguls (for example the youtuber vloggers, well know youtube channels) and ask them to show this projekt to their audiences with their perspective.

The PP community with the contact collecting form can help to accumulate the “moguls”.

After that the thrusted people can reach for them, but i think we should make double the trouble and ask the “moguls” to cooperate, to make videos with you or make videos about your projekt, to make it world wide.

Insights?

Dave you have mentioned in one of your videos, you get a lot of email lately, why dont you make a mailing list like info.pp@googlegroups.com or whatever and allow to some thrusted people to be on that list, and answer the questions, because this could be the main interface to the crowds? (beacause you made it public on your website 😉 )

I imagine it like a main terminal to help the people to find their way and information about this campaign.

@mattia-io,@davehakkens i can make it but just with googlegroups. Have you got any mail servers? I don’t know.

Green light? 😀

Hey team!

I started looking into this a bit more. At my previous job we always sent out press releases to launch projects, is this something we’ve done already @davehakkens and @mattia-io ? Is there a press release written up already? If not, I’d be happy to draft one and we can all edit it together.

I tried to collate the best contact information available for the media channels in this Google Doc. @vasy This might be good for what you’re working on as well!

If anyone else wants to help and is a Twitter user- that document has the Twitter handles too.

Hey @trisaratops,

We’ve made one Press Release for the new campaign launch but we didn’t have much luck. You can see what it looked like here. We did our best but we’re not press guys 😁

Feel free to have a look and make changes where appropriate. I like the doc you’ve created, really clear and structured. Keep going!

Hey @vasy thanks for your inputs. Not sure I understand this file and what it’s for 🙁

I would encourage collaboration upon one, max two, docs otherwise, it gets messy to follow. We simply are short in time. Happy to include it in the post.

All in all thanks for your contribution guys.
Let’s rock it!

Hey everyone!

@mattia-io Yep, it’s tough to get media attention. At my previous job we personally knew some reporters and they were usually the ones that came through with stories. If @davehakkens or yourself ever do any interviews (and the reporter is friendly and lovely) it’s always a good idea to keep in touch. I’ll try re-writing the press release so we can try sending it out again! Probably a lot of people wouldn’t know about Precious Plastic, so weren’t sure what Version 3 meant (this is just a theory, but it doesn’t hurt to try a different approach). I’ll write it up in the next 24 hours and post it here for you to have a look.

About the forms- let’s keep all the information in your google doc @vasy. I have started adding the information from my document to yours. Would it be okay for me to edit how the Answers document looks? It just feels a bit cramped to read. My gmail is sarajunhofonseca@gmail.com.

Also, I’d like to make some suggestions for the text in the collection form, just so it’s a bit clearer! Hopefully it’s not too hard for you to update it 🙂 Here it is:

Precious Plastic – Press Contact List

The aim of this form is to collect contact information of media, organizations and groups who could help us spread the message of Precious Plastic!

Description
– What areas are they focused on? Design, sustainability, innovation?

Preferred Language

Type
(I think we should simplify the types, so we could keep it to:

– Professional Group
– Student Group
– Community Group
– Company

Email
(I don’t think this should be a required field, sometimes it’s hard to find!)

That’s it! We can make adjustments once we start using it. Great work, it’s looking good!

Hey Guys,

Thanks for your time & inputs, much appreciated.

@vasy the collection form looks good but I have doubt people will take the time to fill it in. Busy people I guess. But you guys feel free to finish it up and send it around.

@trisaratop, yhe we keep contact with journalists, but they often seem mere opportunist. Very responsive when they need, but totally oblivious when you need them. I guess that’s how it goes. Thanks for taking the time to rewrite the press release, much appreciated. Let’s where we can take this.

@vasy @trisaratop send me here the links to the new gDocs and I can edit them in the top of the page. Make sure the sharing options are set to anyone can view or comment.

Good day!

Awesome stuff @vasy and @cedric-2 !

@mattia-io Yep, it’s tough. I can understand though, I’m sure they get lots of requests. I gave the press release another go and would love feedback from everyone. One other question- is there a media kit for v3? Like a zip file with a video, photos, etc.

@davehakkens I made up a quote for you, you should check you feel comfortable with the attribution 🙂

Hi guys!

We have collected several contact information, and i have an plan:

From hello@preciousplastic.com somebody have to write to the collected email addresses (to make it more professional) it can be Dave or anybody who can send email through this email address with specific contenct of course for the maximal inpact (different for a group of coding guys and different for a group of mechanical guys, media group, green groups etc)

Is there any PP twitter account? We should make one and @trisaratops can use it and the collected twitter acc’s to spread in this field.

With PP FB account ( https://www.facebook.com/preciousplastic/ <- this is it right? ) if you @davehakkens give moderator access to me and/or @trisaratops, we can spread the PP projekt with likes and shares and co-operate with green FB sites.

What do you think?
