Make sure it matches the output of your controller. Sometimes you can buy an inexpensive package of PID, thermocouple, and SSR.

yep, they are both ok ! buy one more for spare, with improper use they can fail quickly.

Do you know what band heater i should use ? I got an tube/pipe-outside-mean/average of 36 mm i think. I just found those cheap ones which are everywhere on ebay and amazon, but they got a mean by 30mm do you think I can put them around my tube/pipe?

heatbands, they have to fit good; about the barrel and plunger, well, please post a picture, there are some things which can go wrong. we spent quite some time here on the lathe to get them on a good fit.

Barrel and plunger are fitting good but the plunger is not out of filled material.
Can i curve/bend the heat bands? @pporg

if it’s just a 1-2 mm of difference in diameter, then it’s ok, at least for your use case 🙂
