Using shredder for cardboard, paper, or compost?

06/01/2019 at 04:11

I’ve been looking for shredders that would work for a variety of eco-focused activities, such as shredding cardboard, paper, or food waste for composting. Has anyone attempted these things using the PP shredder?

Also, is there a specific name for the style of blades that are used? It seems like a hammermill, but when I search for hammermills I see very different designs from what the PP shredder uses, so I’m wondering if there is another term for it.

we shredded lots of leaves for worm bedding with good success.  We removed the sieve and were very careful that no stones made it in there

Cardboard was decent…. its not exactly self-feeding, so it’s bit laborious
