What is the Clipboard (Tiles) Melt/Cook Time?

Hey All,
I work for an NGO that responds to natural disasters all over the world. After natural disasters extra plastic gets sent by NGOs to the effected communities in the form of water bottles, temporary plastic shelters, and food containers but currently NGOs don’t help provide a solution to reuse these items. Its currently a missed opportunity.
We want to start using recycled plastic to create new building materials that can use in the construction of homes, schools and WASH facilities.Tiles seem like the simplest process to start with however to understand our scope we have a few questions.
How long did it take, those have tied it, to melt a sheet in the compression oven?
What were the dimensions and plastic type used to make your tile?
Has anyone tried stacking within the oven to create more that one at one time?
I look forward to hearing your responses and hopefully soon with your help we can start these processes in Nepal, Ecuador & Peru.
cool! compression is a bit slow and takes around 40 minutes, injection around 15-20. That said if you are really setting up a production you can easily get quicker and more streamlined. For instance by making multiple at once or using several molds for the injection. For the tiles we mostly work with PP and HDPE.
