Hi, there… let me point out why modularity cannot be by big players…
Before that, I can say that modularity can be achieved only by open source, knowledge sharing…
1. Modularity is actually against their basic corporate rules of big players… Even if they want to achieve modularity, they like to play monopoly. That’s big players always exist in the duopoly, which is their game of dominant business strategies.
2. Big players make use of open source but at the end, their end-product technology knowledge is shelved in their secret base. Or they try to sell their products, not to share that knowledge.
Actually, there is more to say but it will be a debate of topic.

@davehakkens Actually I am not that lazy as you think of… I really don’t know anything about Precious Plastics as I came here because of your modular phone idea… All I just needed a right start of knowing what is Precious Plastics…

Actually, I found that my right start by myself on here: https://preciousplastic.com/en/videos/intro.html

That’s why I ask for one line start, not to explain.

BTW I don’t use Facebook… 🙂

Why everyone here is talking only about Precious Plastics… @dave don’t take this as an offence, till now I don’t know anything about your plastics concept, because I came here because of Modular Phones concept, PhoneBloks…

P.S.: As I am ignorant about Plastic concept and lazy on googling about it, can you about the main theme of plastic concept in one line?

brand loyalty is business model… so closed source… where many closed source like to play monopoly… while playing monopoly they tend to increase price in the name their extensive R&D dept. … and also forgot to mention they never wanna modularity in their products, because it has 100% cahnce to fail in gaining their profits as like to play superiority….

hi, I am small words people…. so I can say in simple words: good observation on where hardware and software vendor’s problem lies and good solution ideas to those problems… I currently have some designs on modular computing devices such as Computers, Smart TV and Smart Phone… but sorting out them at best for consumer point-of-view and finally concluded that many companies don’t care for modularity, because they feel it would bring instability on their business… but people still waiting for perfect starter to make it available on markets for buying…
