Hi, have accumulated all the pieces as per the blue print drawings for the shredder 2.0, and the measurements don’t seem to add up :-
The hex bar shows 148 mm of hexagonal length, however there are 15 knives at 5mm thickness (15 X 5 = 75mm), and 13 knife spacers at 6mm (13 X 6 = 78mm)
So total thickness of knives and spacers = 75 + 78 = 153mm.
My eyes lit up when I saw that amongst other things you are producing 3d printer filament. So far I haven’t come across anyone else who has successfully managed this, and as I am getting into 3d printing this was one of the main reasons I am looking at various extrusion methods. Hi Dave, I am looking at assembling the bits for the extruder, and was aware from the videos that to produce beams required a higher torque than to produce filament. My question is, if I have a motor that can produce enough torque to produce a beam, can this also be used for filament, or would it produce too much compression? Basically do I need…[Read more]
