Helloeverybody!
Long time to write!

Here  is my latest creation from 0

IPhone X mould!!

Took me around:

-22hours of designing
-310€ of aluminum stock
-couple Cnc bits
-6 different mould tries

Hello evreybody!

I have make a few modifications to the mould!

Now the injection hole is at oposite side that means the case is clean and the injection sign is inside the case

I have try similar mould with Pp plastic! I found the result too soft..
We need to find more hard plastic!

according to my tests doesn’t matter the thickness of the mould at compression machine because all the mould reach high temperature..
only at injection machine you need specific thickness  cause the mould is cold

the thickness depent from:
-the size of the mould
-from the type of plastic
-the force of the injection

Back to recycling after the summer season!

i made this mold for a sport school in Australia!
i call it sandwich mold
1 mold 3 different patterns !

@manuelmaeder Try to use another type of pp , try  also lpde and i believe for cases is the best!

@jradcoolness that technic would be perfect to keep the mold closed without any screw!

to  avoid the licking of plastic when the mold is away use if you like a water tap!

@dbougas yes i will go to laser cnc machine to write something on it!

@andyn i am using pp injection machine just a little bit larger tube.. i made a hole to the bottom of the board mold  and i used  car jack under the nozzle

i had the same problem at the mould!! i put the one part back to the cnc and i milled that perimetrical line !after that used the mould just with the screws! i thought that was my mistake when i exported the cam thats why i didn’t mention it!

Cool lamp!!!if you can break the plastic easily means the temperature is high, i have little experience about the ABS i tried one time only but the result was the same or similar color as before (i have note the temperature i will let you know)

what is the HeyyyyyyyyJohe in the photo? place to melt aluminium?

Hello!
I manage to finish the phone case mold!
As you can see on the pictures below the result is not 100% professional like Jerzeek cases but for me to mill such a complex mould with 3axis cnc it was challenge!
Once more i would like to thank again @jerzeek who share the files for free!
